Vice President
Mr. Lathers is responsible for the business development and overall operation of the Milwaukee office. His primary objective is working with owners, architects and engineers on their respective projects to ensure a quality project completed on schedule within the predetermined budget. His strong attention to detail has been and is an important catalyst in building positive, long-term relationships with owners and design teams as well as subcontractors.
Mr. Lathers has been in the construction industry for twelve years, of which ten have been with Kelly Construction.
The following represents Mr. Lather's experiences prior to Kelly Construction.
EXPERIENCE
Fort Sheridan Condominiums, Highland Park, Illinois
Project manager for the $5 million renovation of two Historical Landmark buildings that were converted into sixteen residential condominium units. Duties included bid evaluation, contract negotiations, schedule development, upgrade coordination, punchlist development / completion. Provide extensive coordination with the City of Highland Park regarding the Historic Preservation and Certificates of Occupancy.
Village Adult Services, Milwaukee
Superintendent of this $1.6 million new construction/renovation project. A 12,000 sf new addition was coordinated with an existing 150-year-old building. Involved in pre-construction coordination, all field operations and coordination, problem solving and final occupancy.
META House Transitional Housing, Milwaukee
Project Manager/Superintendent for this new construction five-unit transitional housing complex. Responsibilities were bid analysis, subcontractor selection/award, scheduling and field coordination.
YWCA's James Anderson Senior Living Center, Milwaukee
Project Manager for this $1.4 million renovation project creating affordable housing for seniors. Pre-construction planning, value engineering, problem solving and subcontractor selection/award were the responsibilities.
Studebaker Lofts, Chicago
Superintendent for the completion of a 12-unit loft conversion project in the South Loop. Responsibilities were layout, oversight of all carpentry, all field coordination, inspections/Certificates of Occupancy
Concentra Development, Metropolitan Chicago & Milwaukee
Superintendent for the completion of medical facilities worth $3.5 million at multiple locations in the Chicago and Milwaukee areas. Responsibilities included the coordination of subcontractors, scheduling, quality control, punchlist development/satisfaction, and the obtainment of the Certificates of Occupancy.
HSA - 2300 East Devon, Des Plaines, Illinois
Superintendent for this $2 million window replacement project in a fully operational office building complex with over 3,000 employees. Responsible for preliminary and ongoing project planning with Building Manager to ensure minimal inconvenience for building occupants, subcontractor coordination, and safety program. |
