MICHAEL J. KELLY
President
Mr. Kelly owns and is president of Kelly Construction. Responsible for all projects managed by Kelly Construction, Mr. Kelly provides corporate overview to ensure that project needs and requirements consistently meet both contractual requirements and professional standards. Mr. Kelly has had extensive work with various owners and design teams providing support of value engineering, preconstruction planning, conceptual budget estimating and scheduling.
Upon the award of a construction contract, his duties include maintaining client relationships, subcontractor negotiations, cost analysis and cost control.

EXPERIENCE
The Rookery Building
Assistant Project Manager for the $21 million restoration of a national historic landmark in Chicago's Loop. Responsibilities included overall project coordination, contract administration, billing evaluation, extensive international research and investigation to locate contractors to perform specialized work within budget and on schedule.
The Palmer House
Project Manager/Superintendent for a $3 million renovation including the Monroe Street entrance and Storefronts. Responsibilities included contract management as well as project site supervision on a small site while maintaining full operation of the main entrance and reservation counter.
American Airlines - Terminal Three Expansion
Project Engineer on the $140 million renovation of the H and K concourse at O'Hare International Airport. Responsibilities included extensive research and coordination of the existing mechanical and electrical systems to facilitate complete replacement of all systems, and renovation of the concourse/ramp levels while maintaining the airline at full operating capacity. Developed and implemented a three year construction schedule for the entire H and K concourse renovation, which allowed the airline to remain in full operation during construction.
Cook County Graduate School of Medicine
Project Manager/Superintendent for a $1 million office renovation. Responsibilities included awarding subcontractor contracts, scheduling, cost control, and maintaining day to day progress on site. All work was completed while allowing full operation of the office.
Motorola - A.I.E.G.
Assistant Project Manager on the $35 million new research and development-Clean Room Facility. Responsibilities included coordination of design, shop drawings, and field installation of the mechanical systems, including a Class 10 Clean Room.
Oak West Plaza
Project Superintendent/Project Engineer on an $8 million speculative office building. Duties included scheduling, field coordination and safety, quality control, tenant build out and coordination and project close out.
Arthur Anderson Campus
Project engineer on a $50 million 10 story residential building and a 4 story academic building for Arthur Anderson Co. Responsibilities included mechanical/electrical coordination in both the shop drawing and field installation phases. |
